Following vacancies are available to apply for the ordinary membership of TPFS. 

Honorary Secretary

Chair of Physiotherapy

BSG gastroenterology representative for TPFS (Please pass this on to any gastroenterologist with an interest in functional bowel who you think may be interested).

New execs to aim to attend TPFS meeting in Southampton Nov 14-15th 2024


 

Requirements for application: All members of the TPFS Exec must be members of TPFS & be actively involved in promoting and developing the society. They are required to attend at least 2 out of three Annual Meetings (July ACPGBI, Nov TPFS meeting and a further meeting date TBC). Members are also required to join virtual meetings as needed.

AHP Physiotherapy Chair

 

The applicant must be a physiotherapist working in the UK and a member of the TPFS.  The applicant should be able to identify and voice specific issues for their speciality for both regional and national issues to the Exec. They should be keen to develop services, promote TPFS activity and look to encourage best standard of training and care across the UK in their field. The candidate must be willing to work with both the CSP and PGOP on behalf of the TPFS.

 

Honorary Secretary 

The role of the Honorary Secretary is to work with the Chair and Chair in waiting to arrange meetings, create agendas and document minutes. They need to communicate with the executive on arrangements. They are responsible for overseeing tenures of the executive and organising elections/voting.

 

BSG representative 

We are looking for a gastroenterologist with an interest in functional bowel disorders who is a member of the BSG and who would be willing to work with us and BSG to improve collaboration between the societies, promote the work of the TPFS and improve service for patients between specialities. There is also potential for research and quality improvement collaborations. If there are senior trainees who are also interested in a potential role please contact Tom Dudding (Thomas.dudding@nhs.net) to discuss further.  

Applications must be supported by a proposer, an existing member of TPFS. It does not need to be a member of the Executive.
