Job Overview

We are seeking a Part-Time Website Administrator/Content Creator to manage and maintain the Pelvic Floor Society website. This role is critical to ensuring our website remains up-to-date, functional, user-friendly, and visually appealing. The Website Administrator will be responsible for overseeing site content, troubleshooting technical issues, performing updates, and supporting the overall online presence of the organisation. The position offers flexibility in terms of hours, with a focus on delivering high-quality website management.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

- Website Maintenance: Regularly update and maintain the Pelvic Floor Society website, ensuring it remains functional, secure, and error-free.

 

- Content Management: Coordinate with TPFS executive members to add, edit, and optimize content, including articles, blog posts, images, and resources.

 

-Content creation. Assess relevant topical events and news items. To work with TPFS exec members to create content.

 

- Technical Support: Troubleshoot and resolve any website issues, including broken links, slow loading speeds, or compatibility problems.

 

- SEO Optimization: Ensure the website’s SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) best practices are followed to enhance visibility and user engagement.

 

- Website Security: Monitor website security, applying necessary updates and patches to prevent data breaches and downtime.

 

- User Experience: Ensure the website’s design and navigation are user-friendly, responsive, and accessible across devices and platforms.

 

- Analytics and Reporting: Track website performance using tools like Google Analytics and provide monthly reports on traffic, user behaviour, and performance trends.

 

- Collaboration: Work closely with the communications and marketing team to implement new features or campaigns, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s goals.

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

- Experience: Proven experience in website administration, web design, or web development. Experience with WordPress or other content management systems (CMS) is preferred.

 

- Some knowledge or affinity to pelvic floor topics

 

  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with basic web hosting and server management.

 

- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to review and maintain website content for accuracy, quality, and consistency.

 

- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.

 

- SEO Knowledge: Basic understanding of SEO principles and best practices to help improve website ranking and user engagement.

 

- Design Sense: Familiarity with website design and user experience principles, with a focus on accessibility and mobile responsiveness. Work with existing web hosting team.

 

- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and external stakeholders.

 

- Time Management: Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities effectively in a part-time, remote role.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

- Experience with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console).

- Basic knowledge of web development frameworks and plugins.

- Understanding of the healthcare or pelvic floor-related fields is a plus but not required.

 

Work Schedule and Compensation

 

- Work Hours: Approximately 5 hours per week. Flexible scheduling, with some tasks requiring timely completion based on organizational needs.

 

- Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
