The United States National Library of Medicine (NLM) at the National Institutes of Health maintains the database as part of the Entrez system of information retrieval. PubMed was first released in January 1996.
The International Painful Bladder Foundation is a non-profit, voluntary, umbrella organization, active worldwide, that promotes knowledge and awareness of interstitial cystitis (also known as painful bladder syndrome, bladder pain syndrome and hypersensitive bladder syndrome) and associated disorders among patients, patient support groups, health professionals and the general public.
